I’ve been not here…

Work has been slow so, I took a part-time job as an astronaut. Not a bad job really, the hours aren’t too bad and you get all the meat paste in a tube you can eat and get this, all the “TANG” you can drink…. FOR FREE.
I know, I was surprised too.
I love adventure.
Can’t you just tell?

It’s great to see everyone.

Fair Condition, Low Mileage, Original Owner…
5 05 2009that being said…

It’s beginning.
Yeah last month they had to yank a tooth outta my head, a week later I had a horrible ear ache and the antibiotics the Dr. gave me acted more like a laxative on steroids than a suitable fix for what ailed me. Even though the meds cured the ear problem they completely flushed out my plumbing.
That’s a good thing and I shouldn’t complain. Right?.
So, it’s beginning. Isn’t it? The breakdown of the body I’ve come to know and love. I guess it was bound to happen. First the teeth, then the age spots begin to appear. What’s next?
Seems like I’ve had grey hair since I was a kid. (at least I still have hair though)
I’m just happy I wasn’t one of those “Beach People” who constantly covered themselves in butter and slowly, over time, roasted their skin into what now looks like an OLD leather catcher’s mitt.
I don’t know—something tells me being “G” rated and family friendly is bringing out the whiny beotch in me.
whatever.

The New and Improved…ME.
28 04 2009That being said…

Officially yesterday, I started back (yet again) to the Gym.
The only way I can do anything anymore, is to go overboard and get obsessive about things–actually I think I’ve always been like that. If a little is good, then a WHOLE LOT must be better.
So Max and I are going to the gym starting at 4AM 5 days a week.
That started yesterday–today I forgot to reset my iPhone alarm for 3:45AM so we slept in.
I’m excited again about getting into better shape also the countdown is on for the big family portrait in June during Josie’s High School graduation. (and I hope to look better for that)
Not much else is going on.
The remodeling efforts are really paying off. I’m in the middle of painting the kitchen again. the yellow didn’t work well with the newer paint from the front room. It’s really shaping up, even Max is impressed. ( side note: Max claimed there was just too much WHITE in the dining area / kitchen and so one wall became the “accent wall” , good call Smaxwell)
That’s all folks–I’ll keep you informed how the progress is going on my health BINGE!

There should be a tooth fairy for adults.
24 04 2009That being said…

In my case the “Tooth Fairy” turned out to be my Dentist. On Monday this week he yoinked out a rear molar right out of my head. I would’ve sworn his knee was in my chest as he did it. The whole “extraction” thing was a surprise to me. On Sunday one of my crowns came loose and thought nothing of it…just go to the Dentist and he will glue it back on like many times before. Right?
Nope not this time…. (time for his Boat payment no doubt) he says “Well, that one has to go.” Honestly I thought it was making a joke. No Joke.
While the 3 shots of painkiller were making my face feel like the size of an over-inflated inner tube he made some jokes to ease my obvious anxiety….all I recall is he said something like ” He-he, if we yank your tooth out and we see your “Nads” ( yes he said Nads) you’ll know we’ve over achieved.” (the Dental assistant laughed more than the Dentist and he was roaring)
All in all– I lost a tooth and instead of getting some money under my pillow, I got a slight infection that needed some antibiotics.
Swell.
Word to the wise–take care of your teeth and keep them as long as you can.
1. you’ll need them.
2. it hurts like hell after they yank one.
3. if you lose one in the front, you can’t help but look like a hillbilly. (not that there is anything wrong with looking like a Hillbilly)
That’s all I’ve got.
–time for another Vicodin or 3.
Have a nice weekend.

Cancer Sucks
9 04 2009That being said…

Joanie
My very best friend in the whole wide world was diagnosed with brain cancer little over a year ago. She has been fighting her way through very severe chemo therapy for a year and 4 months.

I’m SO HAPPY to bring you the news that as of Monday this week her Doctor has given her a clean bill of health…meaning that her cancer is now in remission. Not cured, there is no cure for her cancer but it’s not active and that is the best news EVER!
So I’d just like to say…

“We Love you CHILLYWINKS!”
GREAT JOB!
